He currently works as a counselor in a school for children with trauma histories, and is planning to enter a graduate program next year. He hopes to eventually to create a therapy practice involving physical movement in the outdoors. He lives with his wife, Nina, and two young daughters in Oakland, CA.

In addition to teaching English, he will be partnering with a non-profit organization called Magicians Without Borders and aims to use magic to entertain, educate and empower the youth in Uberlândia.
